It was already 25 degrees when we left Canterbury West station at 7.30am. The group was excited but unusually quiet, possibly saving their energy for the long day of walking ahead.
Our route would take us 26 miles around Canterbury through the surrounding countryside. We would soon pass through Blean Woods, Tyler Hill, Fordwich, Littlebourne, Patrixbourne, Bridge, Lower Hardes, Larkey Valley Woods, Chartham, No Man’s Orchard and back into Canterbury 12 hours later.
Watch the video to see the highlights from our walk, including a very special encounter with some swans and their cygnets.
